What to Expect from Pet Sitting in Lighthouse Point FL
Pet sitting in Lighthouse Point FL is professional in-home care from a trained, insured, and bonded local sitter — your pet stays comfortable in their own home, on their own routine, with no kennel stress or unfamiliar surroundings. Tap any section below to learn how it works, what’s included, and who benefits most.
How In-Home Pet Sitting Works
A trained local sitter comes to your Lighthouse Point home on the schedule you set — from a single midday drop-in to multiple daily visits or overnight stays. Your pet stays in their own territory, on their own routine, sleeping in their own bed. Unlike boarding facilities that force your pet into a new stressful environment, in-home pet sitting keeps everything familiar. You get GPS-tracked visits, photo updates, and a detailed report through our client app after every stop.
What's Included in Every Visit
Every visit includes fresh food and water, a walk or potty break for dogs, litter box care for cats, medication administration (oral pills, ear drops, sub-q fluids, injections), playtime and enrichment, a wellness check, and a detailed report with photos through our client app. We also handle light home care — mail collection, rotating lights and blinds, and plant watering — so your Lighthouse Point home stays lived-in and safe while you’re away.
Who Pet Sitting in Lighthouse Point Is Ideal For
Pet sitting works for a wide range of Lighthouse Point households — senior dogs needing careful medication management, shy cats who hate any change to their environment, puppies in the middle of house training, snowbirds whose companion stays home while they head north, multi-pet families needing coordinated care, and busy professionals who can’t get home for a midday potty break. Whatever your situation, we build a schedule around your pet’s routine — not the other way around.

Pet Sitter in Lighthouse Point FL
Hi there! If you’re looking for a dedicated pet sitter in Lighthouse Point, I’m Caroline. I have always loved dogs since I was a little girl, having two of my own—a very spunky and energetic Jack Russell Terrier and a miniature, fearless long-haired dachshund, Terra and Truffle! They were best of friends and also my best friends. From my perspective, I think it’s wonderful to have pets growing up, as it can teach you what being responsible and reliable is all about. I always think of it as my first and favorite job :). Feeding and walks were my responsibilities, and having that instilled in me gave me confidence and a sense of purpose.
Moving forward many years later, I started a pet sitting service of my own, and I accumulated some wonderful clientele. My services included daily walking visits, feedings, general grooming such as brushing, bathing, and teeth cleaning. If medication was needed, I would distribute that too. Sometimes I stayed in clients’ homes if the dogs were more comfortable, and I also offered boarding for small breeds in my home for overnight or weekend stays. I would always treat the dogs as my own, letting them sleep in bed with me and giving them lots of cuddles on the couch to make them feel as comfortable and at home as possible.
If you’re searching for a reliable and loving pet sitter in Lighthouse Point, I’d be thrilled to provide the care your pets deserve. My favorite thing about working with dogs is their unconditional love and affection, and if you’re a dog lover, you know exactly what I’m talking about—they are our little fur angels on earth. Whether it’s daily walks or overnight stays, I would love to assist in making each and every dog I walk or sit feel right at home. As a dedicated pet sitter in Lighthouse Point, I look forward to meeting you all through House and Hound. Thanks and love dogs!

Will I have the same pet sitter every visit?
Yes. Unlike gig-app services like Rover or Wag, House and Hound Dog Walkers assigns you a primary local sitter plus one backup for coverage. How do I book pet sitting in Lighthouse Point and is there a meet & greet?
Every new Lighthouse Point client starts with a complimentary meet & greet at your home. Your sitter comes over, meets your pets, walks through the care routine, reviews medications and feeding, and answers all your questions. No booking is confirmed until you feel completely comfortable. For scheduling, 1-2 weeks notice is ideal — during snowbird season (November-April) and major holidays we fill up fast.
