Hello, my name is Melissa, and I’m proud to be a dedicated cat sitter in Tamarac. As a native Floridian and lifelong animal lover, I have always had a deep appreciation for all creatures, big and small. My family affectionately nicknamed me “nature girl” when I was a child, and it still holds true today. Caring for animals brings me the greatest joy, and I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by them.

Over the years, I’ve been blessed to care for a wide variety of animals, from dogs and cats to turtles, birds, fish, hamsters, a bunny, a bearded dragon, and even a baby rat! I’ve also rescued numerous animals, including cats, a dog, ducks, turtles, and a dove. I always joke that I don’t go looking for them—they find me! This love for animals has been my driving force, and it led me to become a trusted cat sitter in Tamarac, ensuring that feline companions receive the love and care they deserve.

My professional journey with animals began early, starting with pet-sitting a neighbor’s golden retriever puppy as a teenager. As a young adult, I had the privilege of hand-raising two newborn kittens. It was a labor of love, and seeing them grow and thrive was incredibly fulfilling. Later, I worked as a veterinary assistant and technician for over three years, where I gained invaluable experience caring for pets and building relationships with their families. This role solidified my belief that “pet people are the best kind of people.”

Currently, I have two rescue cats, Liz and Gino, who bring endless joy to my family. While my youngest daughter is still hoping for a puppy, my heart remains fully invested in caring for cats and their unique personalities. As a cat sitter in Tamarac, I aim to provide personalized care that meets each feline’s needs, whether it’s playtime, feeding, or simply offering a comforting presence while their owners are away.

In addition to pet sitting, I volunteer weekly at a wildlife hospital, where I care for injured animals. This hands-on experience has deepened my understanding of animal care and strengthened my commitment to serving the animal community.
